The aim of the project is to advance our theoretical and empirical understanding of ways in which digital museum education can facilitate upper secondary-pupils’ and their teachers' digital literacies, in particular through their use of social networking sites in Danish museums and art galleries. Drawing on social, anthropological and learning theories as well as existing results gained within the DREAM group, the project investigates how teachers view, face and appropriate offers found in digital museum education in relation to their teaching. Particular focus is on identifying, analysing and explaining possible challenges for teachers and pupils in order to optimise best practices in digital museum education.
